Sometimes it’s a bit overwhelming to consider how much of everyone’s thoughts and conversation are just sh*t recently regurgitated from the internet.

This, a hundred times over.
They think writers can be replaced because they don't understand what writing is effective, yes, but don't discount the desire to cut human labor out of the process entirely, not just for "cost savings" but because the management class and especially the investor class just fucking hate humans.
Is that why people think that ChatGPT and other AI(?) could replace authors - the people in management can't recognize good writing and so assume that no one else can, either? It seems like that would quickly be dismissed witjh any sort of beta readership, but.

Will Leitch is my new hero.
For @theathletic.com, I wrote about how college football's problem is that no one can accept failure as a lesson to be learned from rather than a grievous abnormality caused by malignant outside figures solely motivated by taking from you what you believe to be yours. www.nytimes.com/athletic/687...
Notre Dame (and others) blame everyone but themselves in CFB’s lawless, leaderless era
Everyone in college football wants a cookie, and they're throwing a tantrum until they get their dessert.

Lillard has one scene in The Life of Chuck, and is so incredibly good in that scene that I’ve thought about it multiple times since then.
Fuck all that, Lillard is great. Tarantino can pound sand.

Scream and Five Nights at Freddy's star Matthew Lillard has admitted it "it f***ing sucks" to be on the receiving end of an insult from Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill director Quentin Tarantino. https://bit.ly/3KD9PnN

"We can bring back more money to the fossil fuel companies," is what he means. Like, we all understand fuel standards are... for consumers, right? (And they could be better.) Slashing fuel standards helps... the fuel companies. And costs us more money. Reduced MPG costs us more per gallon.
Sean Duffy on slashing fuel economy standards: "This rule will actually allow you to bring back the 1970s station wagon. Maybe a little wood paneling on the side. We can bring back choice to consumers."

Q: So you didn't see any survivors after that first strike?

HEGSETH: I did not personally see survivors. The thing was on fire. This is called the fog of war. This is what you in the press don't understand. You sit in your air conditioned offices and plant fake stories in the Washington Post

Vince Gilligan broke Apple TV (or so it would seem) because so many people tried to watch the Pluribus premiere tonight. 😄

Hope it’s true, anyway. Such a big fan and am really looking forward to seeing it.

In a world where we’ve now seen just about everything, I still can’t get over the nerve of an idiot resigning his office in disgrace, his brother being fired from CNN, then deciding to run again, losing the primary (decisively!), only to then reclassify and force voters to reject him again. 😂
