In hindsight, the US’ relentless attacks on Al Jazeera through the GWOT really paved the way for Israel’s world historical targeting of journalists in Gaza.

In 2001, they dropped a bomb on their offices in Kabul during the Afghanistan invasion. In 2003, they bombed the Al Jazeera bureau in Baghdad

Found out that the latest Nobel Peace Prize winner is a staunch ally of Netanyahu's and signed a cooperation agreement with the Likud party, which makes perfect sense. This is a prize that went to Kissinger and Obama, after all.

Notably on a CBS call today in which the panel was floated, one producer also repeatedly emphasized the need to hear from Palestinians in Gaza (Weiss did not respond).
