Private prison executives casually discussed the "3,000 arrests per day" quota in earnings calls—despite the Department of Justice previously denying any quota exists. This is fueling immigration raids nationwide while companies rake in record profits.

Something unexpected happened at the @meidascanada.ca town hall in Victoria.
A group of young Afghan girls who escaped the Taliban showed up and asked to speak. They told their story of the fight for education and the need for Canada to help.
We will be sharing their story.

He’s the guy with the Nazi tattoo. I don’t know all the details but he did a terrible job of explaining himself. So far I don’t think he’s an actual Nazi but he came across as so defensive that I wouldn’t put it past him to turn repub if he ever felt slighted. He seems kinda flakey.

Former US Sen. Kyrsten Sinema lobbies for data center developer at Chandler AZ Plan Commission. Says she's working "hand in glove" w Trump Admin & warns city to embrace DCs or face federal intervention. City Council vote on Sinema's DC scheduled for Nov. 13.
So basically, when service members start to say they still aren’t getting paid people will realize this drop in the bucket “donation” is a scam. The only way they can get away with this is if media don’t report on it.

Fairly sure that the money goes to the US Treasury general fund and is tagged as going to DoD for military pay, but DoD obtains no enhancement to its overall spending authority beyond what Congress has authorized. Congress has not yet authorized spending on military pay in the current fiscal year.

In spite of the headline, there is the pesky legal matter that neither billionaires or anybody else can “give” money to “pay troops” or anything else. However, a great compromise would be for billionaires to pay more money into the general treasury through “taxes.”

🎥 WATCH: The Idaho Medical Freedom Act makes it illegal to require anyone to take a vaccine or receive any “medical intervention.”

Those behind the law have stressed that their goals are bodily autonomy. But they do not take that stance when it comes to abortion.

“Over 170 U.S. Citizens are being arrested. Why? Because they look like me,” Rep. Robert Garcia of California said, referencing our reporting. “Or because they are suspected to not be a U.S. citizen, or because they are suspected of crimes they have not committed.”
Joint Congressional Investigation Launched in Response to ProPublica’s Revelations on Detained Americans

I have one slight disagreement with this post.

There is at least one story bigger than that of a president instigating a plot to end U.S. democracy.

And that is the story that a president is instigating his *second* plot to end U.S. democracy.
