What's the game plan? How do your character's friends and allies (or whoever else there is) take The Warrior Of Light down before the worst can happen?
the answer would vary significantly across MSQ or yves’s different canon divergence points…so because it is the most fun i will address this for the EXTREMELY CURSED NO GOOD Dragonsong’s Requiem timeline. for maximum effect read this while listening to orchestral revenge twofold
- based on DSR, but instead of dragon-king thordan stealing both nidhogg and hraesvelgr’s eyes at the end of P6, yves and fray hijack them and go full primal in the image of haldrath, the first azure dragoon
- fray’s existence and the DRK soul stone situation is generally a source of power for yves, but it reflects a fundamental vulnerability of his character: his desires are at war with themselves, he is internally divided, and as fray says in the DRK questline, “a house divided cannot stand.” **when he has realigned with fray’s selfishness to the point of almost remerging his fractured psyche, it is a massive buff to his power level**
- ilberd summoned/created shinryu with “just” two of the elder wyrm’s eyes, DKT has four of them in DSR. so now imagine yves and fray as a colossal two-headed wyrm guarding the entire city of ishgard like in a princess and the dragon fairy tale. (so yes haurchefant is the princess here)
- we see in DSR P5 that thordan can instantly temper powerful dragons like vedrfolnir and vidofnir—now imagine a primal with the ability to temper people on top of being able to command *the entirety of nidhogg and hraesvelgr’s remaining brood.*

How the overwhelming fire smelled, how the glyph glowed beneath him as He soared and how the hopes of the Scions lit up the sky when everything seemed to be lost.
Sariel could guess what would happen once he let his heavy eyelids fall down, but knowing it wouldn’t end unless he submitted to the whims of the visions, he closed his eyes.
He was there.
Feeling a rush of emotions that couldn’t be described with any existing word in his vocabulary, Sariel opened his eyes in an attempt to stop the vision from continuing. But without any regard for what he wished, the images now danced on the wall again as if deliberately taunting him with what was forcibly taken from him. And once the dance was over, the two would collapse again.
The weary elezen gazed at the wall with vacant eyes that met His. If he would just indulge in the delusions for a moment, could he find peace? Still laying down on his side just like that day, he reached out to touch the extended arm of his [redacted].
The two’s fingers barely touched, but it was enough.
