Journalists reporting on Trump's plans to engage in a military invasion of Chicago need to note that Chicago is a world-class city that tops "best city" lists both nationally and globally. The anti-crime narrative is easily disproved with context.

If you missed Trump‘s speech to the military leadership, or have been snoozing since he resumed Office, it appears that he and roughly 30% of the voting population that support him, want the 70% that does not to give up our liberties and freedom. If we don’t, he will take them using our military.

I KNOW this is clickbait, but the thing that's wildest to me about it is that its premise—that Cash is uncool but his music is underappreciated—is pretty much completely upside-down.

Cash was one of the coolest cats who ever lived, in spite of the fact that a lot of his music was corny as hell.

And what a MASSIVELY loaded assumption to assume US citizens are violently antagonistic towards troops. They have a unicorn facing off agains the masked men in PORTLAND.

Ignoring facts doesn't make the facts go away.

Right now, masked military personnel are doing all the actions listed in the story - rounding up anyone who is brown-skinned; forcibly incarcerating and deporting immigrants without due process; shooting ministers in the head for peacefully protesting; tossing a candidate for Congress violently on the ground.

"Manifestly unlawful" actions are happening in US cities RIGHT NOW.

Grossly irresponsible assumption that it is the US citizens who are antagonizing service members right now. Just wow.

The "antagonistic" actions of citizens in Portland vs the troops illegally occupying their cities.

What's happening is a violent overthrow of the rule of law - NOT by citizens - but by the "war fighters" who drop into apartment buildings via Blackhawk helicopters.

And being civil was what this minister was doing when he got shot in the head and pepper sprayed FFS.

A federal judge has ordered that ICE cannot use rubber bullets or other “less lethal ammo” directly on protesters at the Broadview ICE facility.

Good.

Now arrest and charge the agents who shot the priest in the head and the woman in her car.

I wonder if judges may well be more receptive to enjoining the unnecessary deployment of National Guard because anyone allowed to use the military to police civilians will almost certainly find the judiciary as a target eventually.
