So yeah, the same age group that looks at us millennials and zoomers like "why don't you grow up." You won't let us? There's not a lot NEW being made that was better that what it was when we were 12 and it steadily is still getting worse.
At least from main stream venues. The punk scene is tedious.

They tend to be people who said using the dictionary was too much work for them when they were 12 back in the 70s, so now they just ask ChatGPT to create a quick little blurb for them in the style of a famous dead author and feel proud of themselves for "doing the work."

I don't even want to say that "at least it wasn't stolen" is something that differs old art to knew art, as we can't always confirm that a hand made piece of art wasn't ripped off or copied from someone else.
Modern AI art is designed for the lazy and uncreative.

Obviously there are still old media where computer graphics, auto generation, & digital simulations are a key factor to the art in question (Toy Story, Wendy Carlos, video games) but it's still done with human intention and intervention.
Certainly music made after 2020 runs the risk of being fake.

I'm just gonna say that as art and modern made media runs the risk of having more AI featured or help develop it, that the feeling I get when someone tries to scold me for getting lost in nostalgia can shut up. Old media at least didn't depend on computers to replace human effort.

Mole crab! 🦀🪏 (Emerita species) On the beach in the Bay Area, most folks are walking dogs or watching surfers. My head is in the sand 😅 Remembering my childhood trying to dig under these guys before they could burrow away. Beautiful animals…this one was baking in the sun, still alive but barely. 💔
