Went to a networking event tn and found that I am honestly getting so sick of hearing myself talk about cities. Need to get back out with the camera.

I believe City policy prohibits my hiring because, much like the sun, my brilliance is safest viewed from afar.

Matt does amazing work and is very patient with me using his live tweeting as means to snipe at councillor.
And that's it. The FINAL budget of the 2022-2026 council term is in the books. It's all downhill from here.

repeatedly telling my good friend stephen holyday that the reason i can't hang out is because there "isn't a place for me to park near your place" had unintended consequences.
Councillor James Pasternak says providing visitor parking is an important part of dealing with "chronic loneliness." Councillors Cheng and Holyday also brought up parking as a way to make people feel less lonely.

Perhaps the appropriate time to point out the Dupont bus runs every 30 minutes.

It's like a mythical beast everytime I see it yet density keeps popping up on Dupont, and the bike lanes aren't appearing anytime soon.
Forcing young people, who are less likely to drive, into scarce pockets of new density and obliterating transit options between them has a much more profound impact than parking lots.

Until moving into my current unit, my experience in Toronto was moving farther and farther northwest in search of accommodations. My building now is in worse shape than my last apartment, but it’s central and cheaper. It’s the closest I’ve been to my communities since uni.

There are many reasons for isolation and loneliness in the contemporary age. These have been examined, in depth, by people far more qualified than suburban councillors in seminal works like Bowling Alone.

Tear gas is banned in international warfare, yet classified as a “riot control agent” that law enforcement can use for crowd control.

“It just doesn’t work well, and it hits the weakest people the most, and causes the most complications in them,” an anesthesiology professor at Duke University said.
Tear Gas Is Way More Dangerous Than Police Let On
In the middle of a respiratory pandemic, law enforcement agencies have used tear gas in especially dangerous ways. The chemical agent also seeps into homes, contaminates food, furniture, skin and surf...

Anyhow the other reason it’s so easy for guys like this to suggest Toronto is “full” is many people have become spoiled by the fruits of a growing city. Living in a shrinking city is not quite the Hobbesian “nasty, brutish, and short” life, but it isn’t pleasant.

The benefit of these public mechanisms is that they tend to be free and open to all. But that doesn’t mean they’re easy to participate in… they are also (arguably by design) inscrutable, inaccessible, and almost impossible to participate in if you have a 9 to 5 job.
