My 2 cents: Primary the Dems who voted for this "deal".

🧵Okay, so according to this blog post from a GNOME dev, I was a bit wrong about the changes in GNOME 49, but the bottom line is still the same: GNOME now hard depends on systemd. Red Hat is now officially trying to kill init freedom on both ends. blogs.gnome.org/adrianvovk/2...

In which I propose putting systemd and the GNOME desktop in a box so distros who value init freedom can run GNOME without compromising that freedom. antoniusmisfit.blogspot.com/2025/11/proj...

This is actually correct. It's in Chapter 10 of Project 2025.
Don’t forget: gutting SNAP is literally written into Project 2025. This isn’t a mistake — it’s the plan. Every. Single. Bit.

NYC Mayor-elect Zoltar Rockzombie is going to implement Shakira law, a crackdown on hips that lie.
Mamdani is going to implement Sriracha law. Everyone will have to slather hot sauce on their scrambled eggs
Mamdani is going to implement My Sharona law. Everyone will have to create songs with undeniable rock beats.

From the same people who didn't bat an eye over evangelical leaders praying over Donald Trump in the White House, suddenly and hypocritically getting religion on separation of church and state.

🧵When I heard that Devuan Linux is dropping the GNOME desktop environment from it's software repositories due to GNOME developing hard dependencies on systemd, I initially thought Devuan's decision will ultimately hurt it. I thought about three other routes non-systemd distros would want to go:

🧵So after 15 years of the current version existing, FreeDesktop.org has finally adopted... The Filesystem Hierarchy Standard.

This is precisely what last night's blue blowout should be called, and it should be leveled directly at every MAGA person desperately trying to blame everyone but Donald J. Trump himself.

Sherrill and Mamdani won. Today was a good day for democracy.

In a sense, they're both welfare. But... and this is the crucial question you should be asking: Which group actually *needs* that $100 billion?

Hint: The richest top 1% won't even feel paying a portion of that $100 billion, and they'll *still* be the richest top 1%.
Cost to fund SNAP and keep 42 million people from starving:

$100 billion

Cost of lost revenue due to tax cuts for the richest Americans in the top 1%:

$100 billion

One is decried as "welfare." One is not.

Why?

Honestly, ChatGPT should have flagged the prompts that explicitly asked to generate GOT story ideas and scenarios. AI makers need to implement reasonable guardrails against prompts that clearly induce copyright infringing output.

ChatGPT came up with a 'Game of Thrones' sequel idea. Now, a judge is letting George RR Martin sue for copyright infringement.
The ruling greenlights lawsuits against OpenAI and Microsoft by authors Martin, Michael Chabon, Ta-Nehisi Coates, Sarah Silverman, and others.

Ok, so I finally got to try out the new Video Overview styles in NotebookLM, particularly the Anime style, and I'm actually impressed. The "bloodwolf" rendered here is perfectly frightening. That giant in the background, though... I have zero clue where that came from.

Behold, Mike Johnson calling the Naked Bike Ride in Portland "the most threatening thing I've seen yet".

They think naked bike rides and people in inflated animal suits are threatening... Because they want to see people cowering in fear of them rather than having a good time protesting them.

Here's the answer: Presenting the hope or possibility of a pardon is effective at keeping Maxwell quiet. If he says "no pardon", she'll talk and absolutely wreck him.
I still have not gotten an answer as to why Donald would even consider pardoning Ghislane Maxwell. And Biden is not an answer.

We need to start doing this.
People need to start highlighting that Miller is actually the shadow President and the one calling the shots. When it was Musk who was doing it, it caused a rift between them so big that after he was out, Musk was bashing Trump claiming he is in the Epstein files.

🧵I've been trying for hours to figure out a workaround for PDPCLIB's absolutely horrible implementation of C standard I/O streams, which is most likely the reason PDOS doesn't support I/O redirection. I'm just about ready to give up for now. Read on for technically why.
