Our plan here is to put christmas hats on our skeletons to make them seasonal.
boundless contempt for the people who leave their halloween skeletons up for three months
I'm braving Ravelry to make a few changes to my pattern info in anticipation of the Fasten-Off YarnAlong sales event (which is happening from the 21th of November!).

Send me good - non-headachey - wishes!

I don't know about you all, but sometimes, an exceptionally simple project will call to me, and I'm powerlessto resist.

I'm delighted how well this light Tunisian crochet hat has turned out.

2 days to design and make. Not bad! 🧶
I'm small & obscure enough that I'm honestly delighted if anyone thinks to do a workshop based on my pattern.

I'm happy to give permission if it's sought with the agreement that a pattern is purchased for each student.

If I know the person (say, they've pattern tested for me) I'll offer guidance.
I'm still using pre-CS, Illustrator 8. No joke.
They'll never get me to accept AI.
The #BeehiveHat is designed especially for curly crocheters and big-haired heads.

The generous crown helps to keep your curls and locks from getting squished & the loose brim reduces frizz when pulled on.

Never fear, though! The brim tightens once it's on, so you still get that coziness. 🧶
This, truly was a long time coming, folks.
I crocheted this sample last spring.
I got it edited last summer.
My testers rifled through it all autumn...

Then I sat on it like a reluctant hen for a year. 🐔 Bok Bok.

But, finally I'm clearing my 🧶design backlog, and this lovely little piece is first.
Almost used the word "embiggen" in a Tunisian Crochet pattern I'm currently writing. That's a valid technical term, right?!

😂🧶
I like the idea of a "Stash" of Knitters, myself.

I like men a lot but the more time I spend with them the more I understand why nuns live so long
Oh, wow.
I'm desperately sorry to hear that.

In Ireland, they're offering them down at my local pharmacy for free to vulnerable people right now. Got a call yesterday, and today I'm jabbed.

When you say you can't get it. Like, at all?
Even healthy people over here can book with their local doc.
This is your once-in-a-while reminder to drink some water, schedule your COVID jab, and back up your computer files.

Fiona, I wish it were otherwise, but many Irish people struggle with it, too. It's not a common name or spelling, and certainly, anyone I find who uses it is younger than me by decades (so I call myself The Elder Aoibhe).

Still, the Ow-bee-HEE? 😂 blazer is lovely, and I hope it does well for them.
It's why, when you're told you have "above average intelligence" that's not a comment on your smarts; it's a sign that lots of other people are pulling the average waaaay down.
I'd well believe it.
I caught a mild virus in 1998 that led directly to a T1 diagnosis a month later.

I'm so so sorry the world didn't protect you from the same. To think - we could have been completely rid of this virus if everyone had just stayed the hell indoors for a few days - and yet... 💔
We popped up to the Hill of Tara (seat of the High Kings of Ireland fadó fadó), and it's just lovely to see the Síle still being honoured like this.

Ireland may be modern, now, but we don't forget our roots

Same article in English and Irish in the Journal.ie
Hilarious that it seems they also 'translated' the photo! 🤣
