I can’t stop thinking about all the hoopla over removing confederate statues and the phony appeals to “heritage.” But this is done without discussion. It was always about displays of dominance.

I like how the NYT tried to do a “some experts say” framing, and the expert was like, you do not need an expert opinion to see this is bad.
"Typically this payment would be approved by", as if a POTUS demanding and receiving cash from the public coffers is an actual thing. Good grief, NYT.
Breaking News: President Trump wants $230 million from the Justice Department for investigating him, people familiar with the matter say. Any settlement might ultimately be approved by senior department officials who defended him or those in his orbit. nyti.ms/4hmIi5X

I don't know what those No Kings protesters were upset about, now if you'll excuse me I'm replacing the White House with a ✨Royal Palace✨
LOL they're seriously trying to compare the East Wing demo to Obama adding basketball lines to the tennis court.
Not looking good for Seattle. Of course, either of these teams will be getting owned by the Dodgers, so not sure it matters.

You gotta imagine how weird it felt to drive that backhoe today just looking back at everybody going “you sure about this everybody’s sure about this?”

I agree. This and his Arc de Triomphe are signs that he will run for a third term, or simply refuse to leave in 2029. (Who's going to make him?) I don't believe he's near death. People with access to the best healthcare can live for years in declining health.
Is Susan Collins "deeply concerned" or just "concerned"?
EXCLUSIVE: Embattled Trump nominee Paul Ingrassia told Republicans that the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday should be “tossed into the seventh circle of hell” and that he has “a Nazi streak,” according to a group chat viewed by POLITICO.

It's not a "ballroom" when it's big enough to comfortably host the NBA playoffs next summer.
CBS got their hands on a rendering of Trump's big White House ballroom. We'll let you pass judgement in the replies here.

Literally taking a wrecking ball to the White House feels pretty much on-brand at this point.
