I am not sure that central Texas allows absentee voting (except maybe possibly if one is medically unable to leave their house? Or something? Someone correct me if I’m wrong), so I go in, but I triple check the ballot as I’m going and also right before I get it printed off. Takes me forever.

Go #vote if there’s an election in your area! I had to be careful with mine today, because it’s just a long list of numbered propositions, no names. I did so badly with scantron tests as a kid, because I’d inevitably skip, say, number 4, and then I’d have the right answers in the wrong spots.

I’m totally in the market for new sites to browse for inspiration, though I don’t use Pinterest for that purpose. I’ve generally just been browsing in a general web search engine. (Doing a web search for “vegan pot pie” or “embroidered hedgehogs” or “cloche hat knitting pattern” or whatever)

Also, I almost never look at the main Pinterest page - I use it to organize sites (I have SO MANY BOARDS and sub-boards, it’s kinda bonkers), so I’ll open the app, immediately click over to my personal Pinterest, and generally use the search function to pull up what I want (ex - “cherry cobbler”).

Also, some of my other performer friends have been able to harness the performer energy when really needed. “I’m an introvert, but my character is an extrovert.” “I’m not an extrovert, but I play one on TV (at Faire, etc).

I’ve never gotten over it, but I agree with Ether above - offering a sincere compliment on something another person chose (clothes, hairstyle, jewelry, etc) is generally a good first step. Sometimes, this might lead to a conversation about a shared interest, which can be nice (if a bit draining).

Sheep, goats, pigs, birds, and many other animals love pumpkin! If you have intact pumpkins after Halloween or jack o'lanterns that are carved but not painted or rotting and don't have candle wax inside, contact your local farm sanctuary to see if they would like them as donations!
