Having a repetitive, low-brain power game helps stimulate my brain enough to chill then the repetitive actions put me to sleep.

Box breathing helps me and gives me highest rate of success, but I have to not be super restless or otherwise I can't focus. If that'sthe case, I play a game I've spent a bunch of hours on previously that has monotonous/repetitive low-brain power activities (for me, Pokemon, Balatro, Bloons TD)

Current WIPs of a FFXIV character portrait I'm working on using CSP!

I got really burned out on art for a couple years, so starting back small and simple has been really freeing.

I have to work with a smaller canvas size which means I'll have to transition to my computer after the sketch phase if I want higher-res final pieces but I'll gladly take it!

I recently got an android tablet with an S Pen to draw on and its significantly increased my motivation to draw! Using simple mode on CSP feels so natural and reminds me of how comfortable drawing with Paint Tool SAI was.

Sometimes we’re unsatisfied with a thing we made because when it only existed in our head, we saw all the things it could have been and when it’s done we know all the things that it isn’t, but we can’t see the way it expands into a million new things when someone else unpacks it in their head. 🖊️🦑
