Like it seems to me quite clear that if Trump thinks he can get away with stealing an election, he will. He already tried. That factors into my thinking as to how hard Dems should be pushing right now. Thinking about the future risk about elections is not “doomerism.”

To be honest, though, the city should force them to make this explicit. Show up with an arrest warrant and then have them brandish their guns and refuse to accept it, like the criminal gang they are.
"The question that you're basically asking is, can our cops arrest them? From a legal perspective, yes. From a practical perspective...they have bigger guns than we do." That's where we're at.

The solution to ICE bringing guns to a whistle fight is probably to stop bringing whistles to a gunfight. Let’s have some states’ rights. Muster a militia that can’t be commanded by the federal government to protect the people from ICE. Let’s see how far the Second Amendment can be tested.

Our colonial ancestors rejected that agents of the state are absolutely immune for their wrongdoing.
