I got you, here's one of my favorite tricks I learned thanks to my comic

Adding a soft light in four steps. Step 1: Copy your drawing in another folder. Step 2: Layer > Merge selected layers when clicking on the copy on top Step 3: Gaussian blur, not too strong 4. Reduce opacity. Done!

OP's art that they worked super hard on and would appreciate reposts for. It shows genderbent / female versions of Carlos and Tetsu, where both of them are kneeling on Carlos's bed in lingerie. Tetsu has her face buried between Carlos's boobs, looking up at her with a blush, and Carlos is gently tugging at one of her ponytails. A lamp behind them gives the room with plants, shelves, and window a soft warm orange glow. Small details include a Tsubakuro bird figurine and a perfume bottle.

At least if we're talking finished illustrations. I need to get back to practicing manga again. I still struggle with it-
A mockup manga panel of my OC Aiden from mid 2024. Aiden is holding a gun and it looks like he is pointing it at the viewer. A speech bubble reads "Any last words?" I have redesigned his outfit since. There is more I could criticize about it now but I'll refrain from going into detail - I'll leave it at: I think I could do better than this now! 💪🏻 My latest finished illustration of my OC, Aiden. He is standing with his back towards and ridding himself of his leather jacket, revealing his back. You can see a huge flame tattoo on his left shoulder that also reads "Abyssus Abyssum Invocat", which is Latin and can be symbolically translated as "one hell raises another". Aiden is looking back over his shoulder towards the viewer. In the background, there are holographic spider lilies and cyberpunk-like rings.
