If your game has voice acting, then working with the voice actors is half of your writing process. It's not complete until you've heard it interpreted and reimagined by a voice actor. And they always reimagine it in ways that elevate the writing, in ways you never would have imagined yourself.

On Saints Row we had a debug npc named Skinballs (lol) that was literally just four spheres wrapped in different shades of skin texture so we could test lighting for different skin tones during development. But teams need to plan for that kind of testing with intentionality, and not enough do.

Arc Raiders sound design is so tasty, got that Alien vibe which I love.
The music is also the perfect amount, not over played. Comes in at the right moments and adds a tonne of atmosphere and fucks off 👌
