In Dakar we are in the midst of what I like to call eternal summer—four months of THICK humidity. It lasts until end of November. We have amazing weather 8 months out of the year but these 4 are grueling.

The young people who would have been most likely to lead the domestic anti-fascist fight in 2025 were repeatedly arrested, beat, jailed, mocked by elites and non-elites over the past 5 years. This was bipartisan. I find it interesting whenever some people ask 'where the young people are' now.

Calling the Democrats “cowards” suggests that they're scared to do what's right when they show no fervent interest in being an opposition. They're largely colluders, not cowards. Many want their base to think they're cowards to maintain investment in the idea that they can be pushed to do better.
