I guess I need to start using this account—since I have a bunch of exciting author stuff happening this year.

So hi! I’m Felix Graves, #author of #queer dark speculative fiction that makes your chest hurt. I’ve got several short stories, a pirate novel, and a horror anthology coming out this year!
A selfie of Felix Graves. He is a brown skinned Asian trans man with curly black hair and thick rimmed black glasses. There is a regular rainbow graphic and a trans colored rainbow graphic on either side of his picture. Below his picture are the words “This Author is Queer” in purple font A graphic announcing that Felix Graves’s novel Farzana’s Spite is noe available on KU A promotional graphic for Felix Graves’s horror short story The Dayghter She Wanted with tropes listed. This story is currently available exclusively on itch.io at the link authfelixgraves.itch.io
The tropes listed are: gothic horror vibes, descent into madness, nightmares & prophecy, impending doom, emotional distress, manipulative mother, and gaslight gatekeep. A graphic promoting Felix Graves’s 7k word fantasy horror short story Color Unknown, available for free on itch.io at the link authfelixgraves.itch.io
The summary: venture into the oceans of Faerth and meet Soot, a lonely nonbinary merfae cursed with turning all you look into their eyes into stone. When Soot is kidnapped by vicious pirates who plan to use them as a biological weapon, the last thing Soot expects is to make their first ever friend.

Yes I’m a fan and yes purple is one of my favorite colors; it’s tied with blue in second place. Black is first place.

Just saw someone say "Dr Pepper fans are the soda equivalent of people whose favourite colour is purple"

So now I have to ask:

Are you a Dr Pepper fan?

And if so, is your favourite colour purple?

(For the record, my answers are YES and YES)

I’d love to sign up! Is there a length requirement? Like only novels or are short stories and novellas okay?

It’s release day for Choices: An anthology of Reproductive Horror, curated and edited by the wonderfully talented Dianna Gunn!

I’ve had the pleasure of hearing Dianna’s enthusiasm and passion for this project for YEARS and I’m so proud to see it finally birthed (so to speak).

Congratulations!!

IT'S #CHOICESANTHOLOGY RELEASE DAY!!! To celebrate, I'm hosting an AMA here ALL DAY

Ask your questions about the anthology itself, reproductive rights, and writing/editing generally & I'll pop in every 30 minutes to share answers

And be sure to grab the book! books2read.com/u/3JYo9Q
Red paint background with the cover for Choices: An Anthology of Reproductive Horror on the left. The cover lists the editor, Dianna Gunn, the author of the foreward, Alex Woodroe, and the names of the authors: R Haven, Ondine Mayor, Enoli Lee, Ash Vale, Justine White, Kelli Etheridge, Ava Victoria Black, Allay Rei, Soyam Siddha, Sam Rosewilde, A.H. Davison, Meg Calendaria, KT Wagner, Anne Wilkins, Bogi Takacs, Amanda Cecelia Lang, Elise Scott, Mia Dalia, Raluca Balasa.

The right side says: “As the horrors close in around us, we turn to story to process our fears, our desires, and our futures. In Choices: An Anthology of Reproductive Horror, nineteen writers whose reproductive rights are under threat explore the stories of those who, like them, have had their choices stolen from them.
These stories serve as a reminder of the power of choice and the importance of fighting for every human’s right to choose their own future.”

Well, the Talk Like a [Queer] Pirate Day Bundle ended this morning (for me at least). Four sales in total.

I hope it happens again next year. If I can get "Escape From Crab Island" in a state to publish, I'd love to include it.

Special thanks to @authfelixgraves.bsky.social for organising it.

HELL YEAH 🙌🏽 he’s the same age that I, too, stopped kicking and attempting to physically escape whenever a needle came near me, except similar to what someone else commented in this thread, it’s bc my mom told me to stop acting like a little bitch 😂

The right side says: I was four when the law passed. It didn’t sound too terrible, at first. Or perhaps it was the method in which it had been presented to me—by my ridiculously-in-love mother and equally infatuated father. As the population declined more rapidly than ever before, the law was a necessity to keep society alive.
‘Each adult, fertile woman, is to conceive a child by the age of 20. Child support will be provided by the government to those making less than 100 000 per annum. Failing to adhere to this law will result in a court mandated partner and potential jail time.’

16 days until the release of #ChoicesAnthology and today's excerpt is from Whose Pussy Is This by @ahdavison.bsky.social, a tale about the horrors of suddenly finding that your body is not your body - it is your husband's property

The right side says: “I’m sorry,” the student pharmacist says.
To her credit, Penny, according to the silver tag on the breast of her white lab coat, does look sorry.
“Your husband needs to request your prescription on your behalf.”
“I’ve been on the pill for thirteen years. I just need a refill.” I kick myself for letting my supply dwindle.
Without turning her head, Penny glances at her male colleague. “I’m sorry,” she repeats, “but it’s the law.” ~ Excerpt from Whose Pussy Is This by A.H. Davison
