I don't know any of this context, but dropping in to say I remember reading a review of the Palestinian film Wajib which has two main characters, shadi and abu-shadi. The white reviewer, throughout the piece, refers to abu-shadi as abu, which I found very very funny.

One thing I forgot to mention, that I think a lot of people outside Germany don't know, even German Antifa are Zionist and have defended Israel all throughout this genocide. When I say Germany was never de-nazified, I mean it in a very deep, calcified way.

Lebanon. But tbf, the transition from colonial to neo-colonial rule was quite seemless. But yes, we didnt have an anti-colonial militant movement against the french. Also it was in the midst of ww2 when France was weak af.

As far as my research suggests, this is the first attempt at reading A Clockwork Orange this way. Most other analyses see it as a story about universal human morality. I just don't think that's very interesting or possible (especially for a white Englishman).
