Disco balls for my feet ;)

My shoe project is done. Each rhinestone is 4mm and some are about 3mm.

Finally got a photo in my new dress that I made. Not loving the neckline so going to change it

Androfemme isn’t funded and testogel is but the dose amount is tricky cos it’s designed for men so harder to get it accurate. A lot of GP’s won’t prescribe the funded ones either cos guidelines are unclear. Just another pink tax.

The timeline for the Chorus sale is before the next election.

Early next year, to artificially pump the books in the short term for Budget 2026 while fucking over everyone in NZ for the foreseeable future.

chorus being publicly owned is the only reason we don't have shit australian internet.

We should nationalize every company owned by a national MP. Eminent domain their homes. Fuck these people.
Government mulls possible sale of Chorus
The Finance Minister says with the completion of the ultra-fast broadband fibre initiative, there's no longer a policy reason for the Crown to own Chorus.

Definitely is a lot of unseen effort. My first Leo’s compared to now is a 14yr journey and a lot of self criticism.

Mayoralty here was a waste of time, 3 were meh and the incumbent who’s meh too, we have city wide voting no wards so had to get 13 decent ones from 37. Lots of cookers, and right wing men.

Chorus makes a profit, the government owns 61% of it. There is no need to sell it off, and in a time where we are running an infrastructure deficit in large part due to repeated asset sales, maybe just maybe we shouldn't fucking do this.

Top 6 was pretty easy, labour, greens, Nelson Harper and Cameron Jenkins. Then it got harder :)

I've made a few tweaks to my photography website that make it more conducive to writing. I might start using it to say things from time to time when the mood takes me. To start with, here's a short piece about "talent". birds.photos/2025/10/09/9...

“You’re so talented!” – I’m told this a lot. I know I should just accept the compliment with a smile and say thank you very much. And I do. But, rightly or wrongly, there’s something about the “tal…

Cynical but I think probably correct, cos he is entitled to everything but our 18-19yr olds need to know they aren’t.
vebate.bsky.social
I predict 27 or 28 November that he will "graciously" step aside because that's the date he gets his lifelong PM entitlements that he's entitled to.

And at some cost if you want the one that’s actually been designed for women. Had seen women saying it’s over $150 a script.

This is just 'civility' in disguise.

The purpose of protest is to draw attention to a perceived injustice, they are inherently public.

Good or bad is entirely subjective and, as is being demonstrated in some counties, not always determined by law.

I got 13 in end, took the three of us over an hour to wade through the profiles etc. Think we all had the same people but slightly different ranking. Glad I was able to help, @kiwinomad06.bsky.social had a lot of knowledge which I was able to share too

This has been the vicious fucking thing about the "Jobseeker Benefit" ever since Paula Bennett coined it in 2013

In addition to keeping people in poverty it's been a term of propaganda forcing us all to accept the frame of welfare as economic obligation instead of social support
publicaddress.bsky.social
Fucksake. It's quite clear now that they only looked at this benefit policy as political marketing and took no advice on who it would impact – which includes young people with serious health issues and disabilities. Just feckless and cynical. Shame on them. www.rnz.co.nz/news/politic...

Couldn’t find any terfs on ours thankfully. That doesn’t mean there weren’t any lol. For the regional council one persons blurb read like it was all about the “vibe” and how things feel etc. Was hilarious to read.

There were tonnes of red flags in ours, lots of reduce rates, back to basics, a couple of known anti vaxxers, and heaps of “I run a business” so elect me types.
azlemed04.bsky.social
We spent over an hour sorting ours last night, think L, Ben and I all voted the same people just slightly different preferences numbers. There were 37 candidates to sort out. I only ranked 13.

Backing the teachers big time. The govt needs to wake up and listen but it won’t so we keep losing good teachers. Teacher shortage is just going to grow.

It can print black on its own too :) ours is an older model so not sure how good it is reviewed wise.
azlemed04.bsky.social
We have an epson ecotank. For straight black we have a brother laser printer (cos hubby found it cheap and I print patterns at 20-50 pages each time)
