This is so incredibly stupid. No strategy for victory, no credible threat to back up air strikes with seizure and occupation of terrain, all while wasting a limited supply of extremely expensive ordnance. And probably killing lots of non-combatants at the same time.

The worst part of this is that even if manufacturing jobs came back because of this (they won’t)
and even if Americans retooled for those jobs (they won’t) those jobs sucked! It’s like demanding to return to being a farming society. People fled that life the instant they could, in the millions!

On a personal level, these kinds of things make me sad (and afraid) about being trans. Despite everything Musk has done, I know friends whose social media is still mostly Twitter and still support his other products. It feels like my life is worth less than a neat toy for them.
