I'm aware that polling electoral districts accurately is hard because they're so small whereas you can in the US usually poll senate electoral races relatively well as its a binary choice and a much bigger area but how easy is it to poll state wide races in say Australia

I think some of why BlueSky/Twitter has made people think that posting is politics is that in some circumstances it can be. Will Stancil absolutely has become part of the political process by posting, but he also had to go out and do a bunch of legwork
you do not participate in politics any more than the red-faced 50-something guy yelling at the yankees pitching staff has participated in coaching a major league game

The Kat Abughazaleh indictment is an interesting test I think of how big an electoral asset being a "Trump nemesis" actually is. She's doing ok but not great polling wise behind more local candidates but the arrest/charges are a big thing and I am intrigued if they will convert a victory.

The UK now has a reasonably large contingent of anti system voters and no one in the political establishment seems able to comprehend the idea of them moving left
1. Gauke and Centrists like him aren't wrong about bond markets like they weren't wrong about Brexit
2. If voters feel scammed by the established political and economic order they'll ignore the experience of Gauke or other Centrists and opt for whoever offers to break the system

I generally enjoy Dan Abnett's 40K novels but I am kind of fascinated he has managed to make the Cognitae into such a big part of the lore while in the process turning them into Faction Paradox

Twitter anons have ended up having so much influencw over the Tories they have got from trying to influence the views of the majority to thinking they are the majority, and Westminster somehow followed them

This is pretty striking and makes me wonder exactly what Labour have been up to in making policy seemingly in response to / fear of the former rather than the middle group.

My base case scenario is still Trump coalition fractures with potential for armed violence limited to something like Italy's years of lead and war with the mafia that followed from 1967-1999. Bad, but nothing that gets in the way of repairing Trump's damage. Yet much worse is now thinkable.

Trying to articulate this but I think practicing medicine probably is unavoidably an emotional activity for the people doing it just because you can make potentially huge contributions to people. Actually I would suggest my disillusionment towards the NHS model comes from its exploitation of this
