That's why we need to foster a supportive environment - and it feels like on Bluesky it's really working at the moment :)
(At least I hope so - might just be in a lucky bubble)^^
I'll give up when I'm dead because I wanna play what I'm making^^

Honestly most of them are coming from the angle of "it's not gonna get you any money", which is true for a majority of us^^

But that's also not everyone's goal^^

Also clickbait. That's a huge reason.
Archer references are always appreciated :D
Then again that reminds me I'm still missing the last two or so seasons...
I wish I could tell you I did, but nothing of the sort has been proven so far^^

Might help to look at media with a similar look as what you're going for and get inspired there :)
Ooooh that makes sense :)
I might also have to describe things a bit more vividly, (especially as I add more visual detail) but I can work on that^^
Thanks! :D
Okay, that's already helpful - thanks! :)
The latter :)
I don't have too high hopes that game will be playable for low-vision players...

It's real-time and somewhat fast-paced, so it might be playable for some with a very high-contrast mode, but if anything that's a question for much later^^
I'm happy if anyone will play it at all^^
Sorry, I should've led with an example^^

Oftentimes my scenes are rather empty, because it can be prototype leveldesigns and I need to keep things simple anyways^^

I wonder if I'm not focusing on details that don't matter, but there's usually not much to describe anyways^^
Damn, I actually like the alt text more than the actual picture^^

May I ask for advice in the middle of this thread? :)

I'm making an isometric game, and start most descriptions with "a simple 3D render of an isometric scene/forest/town"

Does that make sense for low and no-vision folks?
That's a really healthy perspective tbh :)
Yoooo, congrats! :D
Hopefully that's just the beginning!
Aw yesssss, love the concept :D
Art takes time - and also it's a sprint, not a marathon^^
Looking forward to more!
I can now place custom humans into a level!

These will be bandits (player character is in the middle), but I'll use the same system for friendly NPCs.

I'm not sure where this game's eventually going, but this could become really cool! :D
i did a thing!!!! for my lil' horror game, i've finally added a minimap that shows where the player's armoured truck is, but the controls are still tied to the player's movement and not to somethin like a steering wheel.
post processing effects... not yet :(

Once again burning the midnight oil, but to great effect - I can now add humans to my maps, complete with equipment and all!
Also a big step towards NPCs :D

I really need some sleep now^^

Maybe people just try it there before downloading on another platform? :)
Bananicorn Studios ™️ is subsidized by my day-job, which has nothing to do with gamedev, unfortunately^^
I pay myself in chinese food and pizza :)
Could be having the original voice as an easter egg ;)
I know how hard it is to record your own voice, so kudos!
Now I'm just hoping for a happy ending to that story :D
Wishlisted!
This looks great :D
And that was before I turned on the sound - I absolutelt ADORE narrated games!
Wish you all the best!
Dive in the thoughts of a trans girl through her diary in this narrative platformer! The gameplay will flow to the sound of her voice while she shares her view of her body, romance, emotions, and much more... Filled with handcrafted visuals and a touching story, this game will strike your heart.✨
Good thing I still have to fix a jacket pocket^^
THIS GUY IS SUPPOSED TO HELP ME THREAD THE NEEDLE, RIGHT???

I looked at this thing in my cheap sewing kit and only just realized, MY GOD.
Just so you know: You've now inspired me to take my code out of Bitbucket's Hands and try to set up git on a vServer somehwere :D
Now I just need support to get back to me so I can get my ssh key and IP/user/pw to set it all up^^
The button in their UI for vServers just logs me out of my account^^
