yes I can imagine it, I was there for Trump1. everyone not already primed to agree with them would freak out about how he's being persecuted by the media and signifiers would split on a weekly basis. we need some way to talk about stuff as objectively clear as now but it's obv what they're avoiding

ime you can still be casual and playful with a degree of metagaming – do a thing that casts you as a thing, then immediately do something else that contradicts it. this doesn't even have to be conscious, as long as you don't let yourself be metagamed into identifying with what you're identified as
you can't really talk about or do a thing without being a thing, because the things you talk about and do are echoes of other people who have either categorized themselves or been categorized, and this limits degrees of freedom
