This is a brazen attempt to force capitulation by our elected officials who, the last time I checked, have First Amendment rights, to keep their mouths shut. This is authoritarian forced compliance, and also reminds me of the Red Scare in the 50s.

This is what I would call clear-eyed analysis. Mamdani's not taking back what he said about DJT, and I appreciate that. I sincerely hope that he will be given the ability to improve NYC as best as he can.

There can be only one.
The person brave enough to leak this nakedly fascist would-be policy deserves all kinds of kudos. However, the idea that this policy would've been implemented in the first place is maddening, and is an excellent example of how this regime wants us to go towards authoritarianism.
Behind this important reversal is a member of the Coast Guard who saw what was happening and had the courage to leak it to the press. That person deserves serious praise.
