Two of my teeth broke and I twisted my knee so badly taking an odd step because my ligaments are still loose. Oh, and I now have to take medicine for my heart because of the preeclampsia. It is not for the meek.

My husband let his parents stay with us for far too long and they just wanted to watch tv and movies, this was the only movie I picked that they asked me to turn off because they hated it so much- right in the middle of the ash spreading scene. Didn’t know I could love that movie more.

Get financially independent as quickly as possible. Put the kids in day care- there are free options or scholarships. Open your own bank account. Work, save. Find where you’re moving to, get your paperwork in order, serve him the papers when you are safely gone.

At a family party my uncle was talking to his pregnant niece and she said they were expecting a third daughter, so he replied to the husband, “oh no, what’s wrong with you?” in front of his daughter and two granddaughters. Hubby replied that he’s so so happy to have a third child.

This is just like the parties with my husband’s family- the women stay inside cooking and minding the children and washing up the dishes while every betesticled person drinks cold beers outside and are expected to keep all the chairs from running away. Woohoo! I time travel every visit.
