the fastest way to kill motivation is to make your identity depend on the outcome. it's called ego involvement. when failing becomes failing as a person, your brain starts avoiding the whole thing. not because you don't care, but because you care too much.

you don't need lower standards. you need less self-worth tangled up in your goals. the work gets easier when it's not about proving who you are.

Namjoon is so deeply, nakedly, authentically *human.* That's an incredibly difficult thing to be as a regular person living a life with a regular amount of attention. But to be that fully dimensional for an audience of millions?? No wonder he's anxious--but he is also so, so brave and inspiring.

This also circles back to what Yoongi said about not assigning emotions to things that happen. They’re not happy or sad, they’re just stuff that happened. I don’t know if that’s possible to achieve, but it’s something to strive for.

+unblemished again, I just looked at those wounds and accepted them. No self-pity, no spinning them into positives. War, poverty, a fucked up childhood and illness didn’t make me stronger. They left scars that will never heal. But I can still hope for peace not despite but alongside those scars.
