If you insist on giving them time outdoors, make sure they’re up to date on their vaccines and flea/tick treatment (which you should be doing anyway) and KEEP THEM ON A HARNESS. Never leave them unattended.

This isn’t really niche, but: landlords shouldn’t be allowed to raise your rent unless they’ve done something to massively improve the property.

Even then, there needs to be a limit on how much it can be raised.
