I’m absolutely in love with this polish color, and it was an instant buy for me. I’m calling this my birthday present to myself.

I have been reliably informed by members of this government that losing access to twitter is one of the worst things that can befall a human being so this may be the single harshest consequence they have imposed on one of their own
"DHS has suspended Gregory Bovino’s access to his social media accounts effective immediately," CNN reports

Frankly, this is just shit working as intended, not that different from public play parties versus smaller, more personal in-home events, some spaces are meant to be more broadly welcoming, and also spaces where you take fewer risks, behave and contribute there and maybe you get funneled down
Important: Kash Patel’s egregiously anti-first-amendment statements here and Cam Higby’s claim to have “infiltrated” huge ICE-monitoring chats do NOT mean Signal is somehow “compromised.”

“An asshole manages to get added to some massive + intentionally minimally-screened chats” is not surprising.
FBI is investigating Minnesota Signal groups tracking ICE, Patel says
FBI Director Kash Patel made the statement after right-wing media figures said they joined the chats and claimed participants were obstructing law enforcement.

I have read this book and it is a delight like in general, but especially in these times
People are learning the power of Romancelandia, so here are 10 copies of Deal with the Devil by @kitrocha.com. @mostlybree.kitrocha.com posted about librarian super soldiers building a community and kicking ass, I was sold and the rest is history. Links in the next posts for US Kindle redemption.

I personally don't tell people who have been fighting their hearts out daily for weeks not to celebrate wins of any size. I certainly don't do that when I've been nowhere near the place where the fight has been happening and have done little more than make some donations from miles away.

The North Star, the loon, the whistle.

with the way y'all are rampaging through tonight's wishlist, Gunther Eagleman might be the actual professional-grade logistics bankroller. thanks for you in-kind marketing donation, bro
I mostly just stay off Twitter altogether but after double checking that the Walter Hudson post was still up I ran across this and just had to share so the Romancelandians who bought hand warmers could hear about the PROFESSIONAL GRADE LOGISTICS.

Steve from Blue's Clues told me, personally, that he was proud of me and the person I've become. Anyone who thinks millennials wouldn't happily walk over broken glass to take out the kneecaps of anyone who came for him is delulu.

Reading these and thinking so much of how we got here was too many of us were willing to let people be sacrificed as long as we weren’t and we gotta look at that, feel how awful it is, and never do it again.

Also leaving the country is a complicated choice to which many of us do not have access. Do I think some of us have poured everything into the places we live to the point that leaving is all that makes sense and gotten little more than brutality in return, yes.

On one hand, y’all are not gonna have me out here defending America because absolutely not.
on the other, I do notice that all the people insisting how much better Canada is and that the good Americans should leave and come to Canada are white Canadians.

As a card carry union member in a union I share with a lot of NY state employed nurses, I support this 1000%
I am seeing quite a few nurses calling for a nationwide strike over the killing of Alex Pretti. I think we are seeing one of the largest workforces being radicalized before our very eyes.

My birthday has ended as has the celebratory birthday dinner one day later. It was a good dinner and I enjoyed the birthday as much as I could given all of everything. No book gifts this year, which was very different.

You're sitting here arguing about how many of the people on Niemoller's poem we can feed them, and the realistic answer is that we must not allow them to do any of them. The red line is drawn across the first line of the first stanza.
