A friend asked me to go to his small, progressive Lutheran Church here in South Brooklyn/Flatbush today. (I'm empatheist—an atheist who welcomes your faith.) A thing that stuck out is that the Church has tools for addressing and contextualizing this moment that few other institutions have.

I feel like I've been having a spiritual awakening which would be nice
Not in like the religious type thing- but having a relationship with spirituality in general. I think it's good for your mind and for your soul

I mean . The priests prayer during inauguration was a perfect example of how religion is meant to be used- as peaceful protest in the pursuit of unity and peace with our neighbors. She showed solidarity and stood against violence to their face.
