I kept going with the double strand for the edging and I had enough yarn! This will be smaller than the original pattern (Bridgewater by Jared Flood) calls for since I reduced the size of the central panel, but it should be enough for warming up my shoulders or lap. #knitting

Finished but not blocked Bridgewater shawl in a nice grey to purple fade. It looks wrinkled but promising!

Now that I'm down to the last 2 skeins, I'm also seeing that held together, they're thicker than the others, so the edging is coming out too thick for my liking and I'm not sure if I wouldn't be better off just doing single-strand... Neverending #knitting problems.

The border and edging of the Bridgewater shawl by Jared Flood, using some pretty old yarns to make a nice gradient, but the edging is looking like it's too thick.

I saw "Waiting for Godot" with Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart, this would make an excellent follow-up to that! I guess this is quite the enticement to travel to the US this Christmas to visit my mom and maybe manage this as well...

I just binged all of "The Residence," came online to see what people were saying about it, and found out @netflix.com canceled it after only one season 🤬. Because this apparently *is the worst timeline and we can't have nice things.

Either all three of the avocados just plain had pots that were too small, or they were lonely, because I haven't ever seen this many leaves on them before.

It also took them some time to bounce back from when my mother put them outside in the August sun and they got sunburned a couple of years ago.

A brick-orange pot, about 12 inches in diameter, with three single stalk avocado plants with long leaves. The soil is dry but the bird-shaped watering doohickey is full, so the plants are getting water to their roots.

Man, I just love waking up and seeing a bunch of vague posts referring to something happening in the US. And I'm a 1000% certain if I turned off my muted words, I'd find out, but I'd feel even worse.

I think my cats may be mutants, or possibly broken - they sleep as long as I sleep, or at least until the first alarm goes off. Bucky used to wake me and my then roommates up, but since I've lived alone, he's been content to snooze all night and not be bothered about the time.

The wonky #knitting math worked but I didn't think the color change through well enough - there was a portion knit with the two colors held together but it would need to be far longer than it was. So I guess I'm frogging back to the beginning of the lace and doing the color change there.

A light grey knitted object with a garter stitch center and a lace pattern edge. There is a color change to a light purple shade in the middle of the lace pattern and it doesn't really work.

I know it's just my brain making random connections but I can't get over the proximity of "Vezda" on #StrangeNewWorlds and "Vashta Nerada" on #DoctorWho (which are theoretically in the same universe...)
