I really need to up my pillow game so I can stop having to wake up coughing in the middle of the night. The problem is that I inevitably slide down and end up lying flat no matter how many pillows I have.
It's either that or more drugs to stop the chronic post-nasal drip. 🫠

I love how wild this yarn looks in a cake and then becomes so pretty when broken up in a colorwork pattern!
This is just a sample see how difficult colorwork is (not very, for me). The color yarn is kinda old and full of splits, not sure if it's worth it to keep going.

Also, I've been looking into m a y b e trying to knit a sweater again, but most of the easy patterns have high necklines and I can feel my skin itching just looking at the pictures. I suppose I could always try a pullover first, to avoid the sensory issues...

I've fallen down a rabbit hole of "Eastern European"/"Polish"/combination/"Polish granny" knitting videos and now I remember, this is totally how I used to knit when I first started! And then I "corrected" myself because "omg you're twisting your stitches!" even though I wasn't. 🙃

Natasha and Bucky spent yesterday evening trying to snooze on my lap but with trick or treaters, I had to keep getting up and eventually they sulked off, until this morning.
Now Natasha is sprawled on top of me, but she's in for another disappointment because I have to go to the cemetery soon.

I got the double flu/covid shot on Wednesday, had some initial soreness, and then bam, fever and muscle aches so bad I called my mom for some long distance pity. 🤒😫
(I don't get fevers very often so when they hit, they take me out.)
The cats all piled on the bed with me, even Archie stayed. ❤️

When you come home and find the stairs, kitchen, and part of the living room covered in yarn, and your 🧦 WIP lying in the middle of it. 😬
I guess that's the danger of center-pull yarn cakes, it's really easy for a cat to pull it out. But it also makes my #knitting a lot easier, so it's a trade-off.

Just like the movie, the score for "Tron: Legacy" is so much better than "Tron: Area." The former stands alone as an excellent listening experience while the latter, while an OK score in the movie, feels like an unfinished NIN album that brings nothing Tron-like with it.

I used to be really good at logging my yarn purchases on Ravelry, and then there was that big brouhaha about the site redesign and I guess I stopped using the site beyond just looking up patterns. Which is why I now have a bunch of yarn that's wound into nice cakes but missing labels and argh...

So apparently magic loop sock #knitting is super easy? I didn't even need to look anything up, it seems so intuitive! Not really faster than double-point needles, but less fiddly and fewer chances of stitches getting dropped or stretched out between needles.
