Cannot overstate how, from my perch as a national-security reporter, this would have been an earth-shattering scandal in a prior era.
Billionaire Binance founder Changpeng Zhao, pardoned by Donald Trump, has been accused of facilitating millions of dollars’ worth of payments to Hamas in the wake of its attack on Israel on October 7 2023. Zhao also financed the Trump family's entrance into the cryptocurrency market.

Has anyone else reacted to all of the *everything* by going hardcore into making stuff?

I'm learning to work with leather, and have been making these tiny TN-style journals for 2.5" x 4" notebooks.

Need to figure out where/how to list these for sale (most of this batch already sold in a FB group.)

Asking a question of anyone who has served (thank you) in the military. If you received an order that you suspected was illegal, how would you go about determining if it actually was. Were you given training on how to do that?

Before the midterms of 1866, President Andrew Johnson called his congressional opponents traitors and said they should be hanged.

Voters were so profoundly moved by his words... that they gave his opponents a supermajority in Congress, and the nation got the Fourteenth Amendment.

In this Trumpian era, America’s moral compass — its capacity to separate right from wrong, and to pride itself doing (or at least trying to do) what is honorable — seems to have vanished, along with the norms on which that authority has been based. robertreich.substack.com/p/honor-and-...

“—and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.” Congress finally stood up to Trump. Hoping that they follow through with the will of the people. Release ALL of the Epstein investigation files.

Reminder that Starbucks’ CEO made 6,666x more than the company's median employee in 2024.

This was the widest CEO-to-Worker pay gap in the entire S&P 500.

And we're supposed to believe Starbucks can't afford to bargain a fair contract with its unionized workers?
As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

I'm thinking today of all my fellow veterans but especially the more than 5,000 trans service members and their families who were kicked out of the military this year despite being highly qualified and serving honorably. This injustice will be a stain on our nation's history.

It’s driving me crazy how the news media doesn’t challenge Trump when he claims tariffs are bringing in money from other countries. That is an absurd lie. Tariffs are by definition a tax levied on American importers when they buy foreign goods. Americans pay tariffs. ((1/2)

Over half of the corporations bankrolling Trump’s vanity ballroom are facing (or recently faced) federal investigations into wrongdoing — including violating workers’ rights or misleading consumers.

They also have a combined $279 BILLION in federal contracts.

Follow the money.
