My oldest friend came out as trans in our late teens/early 20s. I helped her pick out her first skirt. I didn't always get things right. You know what I never did? Called her slurs. It's really easy not to call people slurs, even as a teenager.
Asked again and again whether he ever racially abused his fellow pupils, as 20 people at his old school have now said he did, Nigel Farage will only say that he never did so in a "hurtful way" or "with intent"

East Bristol has a thriving Anarchist community, which includes a lot of very effective grassroots political organisers. If @bristolgreenparty.bsky.social want to *really* push the Overton Window left, you could do worse than to actively embrace the Anarchist movement here.

If I was a Gold Commander under pressure to limit the impact of far right demos and attendant counter-protests in Bristol, and I had gotten away with accidentally sending my officers to the wrong hotel in the past, I would simply do it again on the day the fucking big black bloc was happening.
These protests cost hundreds of thousands from the public purse to facilitate. Rank and file cops are pissed because they keep having leave cancelled. It causes huge disruption to the general public. The brass have to find ways to minimise this, and the easiest way to do it is to squeeze the fash.
