I get great ideas when I'm busy doing laundry or making school lunches etc. I voice record or jot down entire scenes and then it's easier to pull it together later.
Also, not getting enough sleep is directly related to how much I write. If I'm not publishing often, I'm sleeping better.

Honestly: I don’t have more free time than I did at uni, but I have more of the kind of commitments that let me write on my phone in 3.5-minute chunks of time while sitting at the cafe at a kids’ soft play party, and I am both better at and more in need of that kind of writing now.
