I really wish all humans understood brain development. Even at the age of consent or 18, the average person is still approximately 7 years away from attaining the executive function skill set. This would be even longer for neurodivergent individuals. Coercive control is easy at 14 or 15 years old.

Oh and by the way, we've had roughly 2M federal employees since the 1940s though our population has more than doubled.
Kind of wild that while food assistance was withheld from millions of families, one Trump-supporting billionaire (Ellison) saw his net worth grow more this year than the entire SNAP budget. And the YTD gains of the other four richest men would’ve fully covered salaries for all 2M federal employees.

The President wants to use the military to crack down on Americans who are exercising their 1st Amendment rights to oppose him. I can’t think of a better reason to insist on exercising those rights.

The world is complicated enough, without having to think about how to not get arrested for having an opinion.
It’s a hard conversation to have with your child who is just visiting for the holidays. You tell them to be careful while traveling. You worry about thieves. You don’t ever see yourself having to warn your child about Nazis. Until now.

Portland ICE Facility: Federal agents made a violent arrest dragging a protester all the way across the driveway. They also deployed pepper balls on the crowd. It’s currently unclear why this person was arrested.
