I'm going insane because people constantly recommend using AI for things and it is always, ALWAYS worse than repeatedly bashing my head on a brick.
It's like you have an actual problem & all anyone recommends is "have you tried talking to my cousin? He drinks bleach & doesn't wash his pants"

Forcing people to use AI w/ the argument more=better is like thinking that a giant bowl of slop will magically transform into something edible by adding two drops of high quality ingredients. With AI (or on the Internet at all) you have 8 bad answers and 2 good ones, you don’t end up 2 good answers.

Forcing people to use AI w/ the argument more=better is like thinking that a giant bowl of slop will magically transform into something edible by adding two drops of high quality ingredients. The fantasy is a Jarvis for everyone - best friend, confidante, et al, but the reality is going to be the dilution of humanity, a stripping away of human connection, human thought and real autonomy in society.
Statements like, “The system is broken,” absolve the people in charge of it of their responsibility. The System isn’t broken. The System doesn’t have thoughts and feelings. It doesn’t make mistakes. It’s simply working as well as the people in charge are running it.

Imagine having an incredibly smart brain, but spending your entire life seeing people just DO things and it was always a mystery as to how they did it and why it never worked for you (and it still doesn’t btw). So your smart brain is good enough to keep things going, but is also persistently stifled

Some days I feel restless in my AuDHD journey. I want to speak more openly, be a louder voice for NDs, particularly in education, but also in society writ large. But then life happens. Real world constraints stifle my ambitions and drain my energy. I revert to wanting to hide and protect myself.
