The guys who work in my downtown office building (with tiny parking spots) driving massive F150s or the like feels very silly to me. Brother, you are not a contractor hauling materials to a worksite. You are a midlevel account executive at a regional marketing firm. That giant truck is unnecessary.
Yes, HID headlights are very bright but the bigger problem is the proliferation of gargantuan vehicles with 5’+ hood heights so that if you’re driving a normal sized car their headlights are at your eye level rather than seat level like they’re supposed to be.

OTD 1969 James Brown drags his road-weary band into King Studios in Cincinnati to record. Drummer Clyde Stubblefield bangs out a drum pattern Brown crafts into "Funky Drummer." Minor hit but it forms a foundational beat in Hip-Hop. The bldg remains vacant & standing but King left in 1971.
