Churches are a good spot to organize simply because they are a place where a couple hundred people go to listen to someone talk. I have no idea how but damn it would be useful to get in there rather than just letting fascists claim them
These sick monkeys should not have been hauling a truck

Celebrate the traditional way
Romero is just too eclectic, his Scream could be the exact same movie and I feel like it would still make sense for him
I feel like Sam Raimi would not have worked (my opinion of him has kinda soured in the last few years).

Romero would have made a very interesting choice because I simply cannot picture what he would have done.

Any of my UK moots know somewhere I can move with relatively short notice? I'm really getting kinda desperate here.
He's not even a doctor and the monster is named Adam!

(I like to counter pedants with that)
The body of christ should have a satisfying crunch to it imo
The only one I ever had was paper thin and basically dissolved once it was on my tongue, it felt so weird
Fighting off vampires by throwing boxes of the world's shittiest crackers at them
I always forget about the weaponized communion wafer in Dracula

How come that part didn't catch on?
It's hilarious to me that assholes keep using ai slop trying to make patriotic images when it can't even draw the US flag correctly
I've worked both and also office jobs and trust me, the difference between a construction site and a lab is a lot less than the difference between the lab and the office
Laboratories are a blue collar workplace and we should really stop thinking otherwise
...why can the military even receive a donation like this?

This isn't one of those care packages full of candy bars, it's a pile of cash and there is a hige difference
The Pentagon accepted a $130 million anonymous donation to pay active-duty troops during the government shutdown, a move that raises questions about private funding.

The contribution will only cover a small amount of the funds needed to pay the troops.
Pentagon to use $130 million anonymous donation to help pay troops
The amount is less than a day’s worth of salaries. Fiscal policy experts say the move also raises legal questions.

It's just weird that the world conjured Igor out a composite of several characters and yet Renfield, who is a book original to Dracula, gets cut entirely all the time and people barely notice
This actually gets weirder the more you know because the assistant here is Fritz, the sequels sometimes have a different name for the same basic guy in Ygor. But never an Igor.

Igor never existed.
Left to right this picture contains Henry Frankenstein, The Monster, and Fritz
This is one of those salt/sodium chloride things where people try to be pedantic but still end up being wrong.
Anyway the monster can also be called Frankenstein because everybody knows who you're talking about. This is one of the most famous books that peole know surprisingly little about and that's also fine.

Frankenstein is the name of the scientist, the monster is named Adam, and Igor doesn't exist

The thing about persistent poverty and the long-term effects of homelessness is that it sets into motion a powerful cascade of events that make a person more and more vulnerable to people with whom they would have otherwise never interfaced.

It's a catch-22 and they know it. If you call something a genocide you have to respond to it, so call it something else.
So the reason they refuse to call it a genocide is that once something is officially called that, treaties would require action on the part of most of the rest of the world

This is why terms like "ethnic cleansing" were invented, specifically to circumvent the need to respond by fucking cowards
The whataboutism on Gaza really rankles, especially for those of us who have spent our careers reporting on the crises Israel's defenders cynically invoke as so much worse than Gaza. I wrote about how it actually compares, and what the true toll may be. www.nytimes.com/2025/10/23/o...
