Jeffries: "We know there's a bipartisan majority in the Senate -- every single Senate Democrat and at least 4 Senate Republicans -- who support a straightforward extension of the ACA tax credit. The votes exist to pass it in the Senate absent procedural hurdles that John Thune is erecting."

Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.

Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.

The Social Security Administration ends the year in turmoil.

A diminished workforce has struggled to respond to up to 6 million pending cases in its processing centers and 12 million transactions in its field offices — record backlogs that have delayed basic services to millions of customers.

Customer service deteriorated by key measures as the agency enacted sweeping cuts in Trump’s second term, internal data and interviews show.

Macron’s circle says France found no convincing evidence of a Ukrainian drone strike on Putin’s residence, per Le Monde. Russian claims contradict themselves, and partners saw nothing credible. EU leaders discussed Moscow’s reaction, while ISW and the US are also skeptical and investigating.

Back in September of this year the Russians launched a missile into Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers building and attempted to assassinate Ukraine's Prime Minister in her office.

Why wasn't Trump "very angry" about this?

This dramatically enhanced pressure on Europe/Denmark and the new outrageous sanctions on info researchers coming at a time when Putin is escalating his physical attacks on Ukraine suggests that the US is now *coordinating* with Russia to weaken Europe and Ukraine.

Denmark lost more troops per capita in the post 9/11 war on Afghanistan. Saying they “are not a good ally” because they won’t surrender their territories to the US is lunacy. We are betraying our allies to satisfy the whims of a would-be Emperor for whom the US is not enough.
They’re again advocating against Denmark when it comes to Greenland

I cannot emphasize how serious an assault on democracy this is. Any effort by the Trump administration to engage in false claims of fraud or mass voter suppression relies on this as a building block. As importantly, there is no legitimate reason DOJ would want this information.
🚨BREAKING: The Department of Justice (DOJ) sued Georgia, Illinois, Wisconsin and Washington, D.C. Thursday for unfettered access to the states’ voter registration records. The federal government has now filed lawsuits against 21 states, plus D.C.
