NEWS: House Appropriations Committee Republicans released their spending bill for Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies. The legislation would prohibit taxpayer dollars for any type of gender-affirming care for transgender people. This would include programs like Medicaid

None of the funds made available by this Act may be used to implement, administer, or enforce Executive Order 13988, entitled ‘‘Preventing and Combating Discrimination on the Basis of Gender Identity or Sexual Orientation’’, published by the Executive Office of the President on January 25, 2021 (86 Fed. Reg. 7023).

SEC. 244. None of the funds made available by this Act may be used for any social, psychological, behavioral,or medical intervention performed for the purposes of in16 tentionally changing the body of an individual (including
by disrupting the body’s development, inhibiting its natural functions, or modifying its appearance) to no longer correspond to the individual’s biological sex.

far right, puritanical interests got to where they are due to years, if not decades, of grassroots pressure.
To fight it, we have to be prepared to do the same. Make your fight sustainable to prepare for a long haul.

Even reaching the required number of signatures doesn't guarantee that a law change will take place; in fact, it's highly unlikely. However, it further applies pressure to the payment processors, which continue to make things difficult for consumers.

Woke up to quite the update on this. I had been in contact with Payment Cloud about getting their service and they waited until now to hit me with the image below. Again, stringing me along instead of being upfront. They had seen my website multiple times before this.

An image taken from an e-mail from Payment Cloud to me. They list prohibited adult work, one of which just includes "Fantasy" which is as wide as cat ears and fairies. We are so cooked.

I've always adored how the 60s Astro Boy series just occasionally had really good animation for like a shot or two before going back to like shoestring budget 60s anime shots and it was NEVER consistent on when it was going to happen.

Ugh. Reminder again for Firefox users to visit your about:config page, search for the browser.ml.chat.enabled key, and set that to false:

If yours says true then double-click it until it reads false.

Doing that turns off the AI chatbot features in Firefox, but also the stupid new LLM tab-naming feature that's rolling out
