Covid really broke some people’s brains.

Shocking (and so very sad) that the vaccine story coming out of Covid is one of hesitancy and anger rather than amazement and gratitude for what is now increasingly possible.
Republicans increasingly oppose requiring healthy kids to get MMR vaccines to attend public schools

Great piece by my colleague @watershedlab.bsky.social on the risk of landslide tsunamis on BC’s Northwest Coast and what it means for pipelines in the area

When is it going to be enough, America?
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

They really are going with immaculate asymmetry of tariffs, which didn't raise prices when they were imposed but will cut them when they're withdrawn.
KARL: Tariffs have been removed from some food items. How soon do we expect prices on those goods will go down?

HASSETT: The prices for those goods weren't necessarily going up just because of tariffs

KARL: So they might not go down?

This is real. A government agency calling Americans performing their democratic right of protest “imbecilic morons.” This Trump regime is a poison and never should have gotten power. A total disgrace.

This is an Alberta retail electricity choice post.

I've been quiet for a while on the "Fixed or Floating?" question largely because it hasn't been as egregiously tilted towards one answer as it was from 2021-23 (Go Fixed!)

It's time for an update... 🧵

Good thread from Dave about the new IEA "Current Policies Scenario" making a lot of the headlines.

Here is a very quick mock-up I made of what this scenario assumes for solar PV additions through to 2035, with historical context.

I'll let you decide whether this seems likely.
