Detention Watch is hosting a series of webinars about immigration enforcement and detention. I think this is a great idea for people who are wondering what they can do -- get educated and meet people.

A man who praises Hitler, says all migrants are criminals, & that "all Black people are foreign" continues to be an ICE prosecutor.

To say this system is rotten to the core is a dramatic understatement.

As always great reporting by @stevanzetti.bsky.social for the indefatigable @texasobserver.org

This thread is chilling....

But I love very calm Minnesota man imploring the ICE agents threatening him to "go to church."

It's the Minnesota nice bless your heart.
Over the weekend, ICE agents repeatedly used the killing of Renee Good to threaten Minnesotans recording their activities. "Did you not learn from what just happened?" They thought it was a "lesson" and now they'd be left alone. Didn't work.

Folks braved sub-freezing temperatures to "be the light against the darkness.” Three bobcat claps for my hometown!

Those of us protesting the Iraq War were considered naive kids.

Turns out the people in power were war-mongering liars who plunged the region into a generational disaster…
My whole life, advocating war has been fed to me as “the adult position,” akin to drinking your coffee black or reading the business section of the newspaper. Let’s be very clear — war is the childish nonsense of impulsive destructive idiots playing baby-brained video games with real human lives.

Trump has no right to take us to war with Venezuela. This is reckless and illegal.

Congress should vote immediately on a War Powers Resolution to stop him.

My entire life, politicians have been sending other people’s kids to die in reckless regime change wars. Enough. No new wars.

But if the standard for invading a country and deposing their leaders is now that they conspired to obtain machine guns, wouldn’t it apply to every country with a military?
