I see it when I hear people talk about how hard it is to boycott Target. Really now? Giving up shopping at one store is not hard. The Montgomery Bus Boycott lasted a year. They walked, organized carpools and took taxis while enduring, bad weather, harassment, intimidation & the loss of their jobs.

- Black people can make posts without being called the ‘N’ word
- Women can post without getting threatened with sexual violence
- Men can express empathy without being derided as a “beta male”

I've been asked about my evidence for saying Bluesky is a left-wing bubble. Mostly, my eyes. But here's a striking table from a recent pre-print on Bluesky: the progressive side (A) is extremely dominant in political discussions, to the point where the opposition is often essentially unrepresented.

Going on my first hike since I lost my vision. This should be an interesting adventure. Luckily it says it is a kid friendly trail so I am assuming I will not be putting myself at great risk of bodily harm. Fingers crossed.
