My roommate is weeping at the episode where Homer and Marge meet and don't go to the prom but end up together anyway. She's crying so much about the Simpsons

Somehow I didn't put my ADHD meds in my caddy yesterday so I fell asleep really early and missed the news last night. Thankfully it was good news. Can you imagine

The grocery store I go to is filling some giant holes in the parking lot and there is also a truck pumping out sewage in the same lot. The mixture of smells is amazing. Truly we are all New Yorkers today.

one-out popups with runners in scoring position are unfortunate, but if you hit one at least 50 feet high you are awarded 100 in-game credits that can be spent on sunflower seeds or gum in the dugout shop. that explains most of these

If you’re a slur you gotta get out in the real world and hang out with the other slurs. Even or sometimes especially if they’re not the same slur(s) as you

Those who believe without seeing are blest, but what about those who see every day and refuse to believe? You see daily suffering but choose to focus on a theoretical suffering you cannot see. Your living, breathing neighbor is less important than the idea of a child that will never be born. Cool.

The anti-abortion morons are out by the clinic once again. They really piss me off. How can you be concerned about the suffering of the unborn when there are people living and working in this community who are suffering? Their toxic empathy is getting to them. Idiots.

Christians, it is now your time to show off about how pious and generous you are. Give to your local food bank! Catholics, don't let those dumb evangelicals get the best of you. Protestants, don't let the devil's church triumph. Feed the poor! Save Christianity!

It's really awesome that lay Catholics think they know more about being a Christian than the pope. Like, you actually don't get a choice in this matter. He's the guy. He's the authority. That's the whole deal.

Certain aspects of Catholicism (rosary, prayers, order of services, etc) make it perfect for those with OCD and autism, such as myself. This sounds like it would be perfect for me but unfortunately I don't believe in most of it. Love the repetition and iconography though

The good news Jesus proclaims to the hungry isn't that God likes it when people are hungry and they should be hungry because hunger is blessed - the hungry are blessed *in the promise of eating and being filled*

Neither the Gospels nor liberation theology are rightly understood if they are understood to eternalize and endorse poverty rather than proclaiming the dignity of *the poor* and God's will that their material needs should *be met*
