I love engaging with art via both its analysis and its creation; cinema and the written word are my mediums of choice. BA in Interdisciplinary Studies. Bylines at Go! Eastern Oregon and MovieBabble, former VP for EOFF. Thank you for your time.

Below is a quote I’ve been thinking about a lot for the past several months. It’s by James Baldwin, on his decision to leave the U.S. in 1948.

I think I’m there.

Just finished GMing for the first time. A lovecraftian, mystery-themed one-shot of DREAD where the cosmic deity that threatens one's sanity and the world might just be a metaphor for far-right efforts to dissolve global humanitarian aid. I think I did pretty good, all things considered. Neat.

I see what we, humanity, are collectively willing to do to our own species, to other species’, and to our environment. I see that we do what we do wittingly and willingly. I no longer believe that we deserve to continue. It is simply too much suffering to justify.

Hi @samreich.bsky.social! I'm super happy Jacob Wysocki got that check, and it was obviously all shot a while ago...personally, I would not rather see ads for a company that is fine with people encouraging me not to exist.

Fun fact: when Jacob Wysocki talks about moving to Eastern Oregon in today's episode of Game Changer, he's talking about the town in which I currently reside.

So I finally saw Bakshi’s WIZARDS:
- Lovely to see a fellow thot with my name.
- A very faithful adaptation of The Lord of the Rings, aka I have most of the same problems with it as I do with TLotR.
- A film’s message being “the projector must be destroyed” is wild.
- Peace is a great character.

was in a meeting finalizing the program of an upcoming film festival and talking the ethics of programming films from nations committing genocide/war crimes (Israel, Russia) and then we remembered that most of our selections are from a nation currently committing genocide/war crimes (y'know, ours).
