Remember my tale of the roofer who scammed us? Well, court had finally ended. We won. Shane Collins of Getter Done Roofing not only scammed us with shoddy work he had no business or knowledge doing, but he also did not show for court. Please beware if you ever come across Shane.

Hey Halifax,

Do you like singing Christmas Carols?

December 18th at Fort Massey. Come request your favourite carol and we'll sing a verse or two of as many as we can fit into an hour, then head downstairs for cookies and hot chocolate.

The first book, Framed Women of Ardemore House, was a delight; can't wait to read this one!
Hey #CANADA! So—when my first #mystery came out, you loved it, gave me the most wonderful boost. Then the sequel came out… and a clerical glitch at Indigo listed the new one as unavailable FOR 3 MONTHS before Harper Collins figured out what happened. It’s just hitting your stores NOW. Gift? #BookSky

With Girlguides and the WI announcing that the new laws are forcing them to exclude trans girls and women, it seems like a good time for any cis women who haven't signed Not In Our Name yet to do so. Stand with our sisters.

I heard there was a Cohen song,

And all the Christians got it wrong,

But you don’t really get the meaning do ya?

‘Cause you see its about getting laid,

It’s sex, and love, and Jewish faith,

But all the gentiles heard was “hallelujah!”

Good news: it appears I have a new family doctor.

Less-good news: their eventual location will be on Lady Hammond. Complete opposite end of the city, not remotely walkable.

I am enormously grateful to be off the waiting list - just wish the stars had aligned regarding location.
