It was not secret he harbored dreams of writing films, but after a while, he never sold much and settled for the steady paycheck. Even when coworker George Kashdan started writing the 60s cartoons, Murray never wrote one (don't know if he even tried).

How l spent my last day before the academic year begins: reviewed MICA story pitches then finished a book for the Faculty Book Club. I also indulged in the final episode of Poker Face S2, the latest Star Trek: SNW (great), and the first episode of Peacemaker (wild). Very relaxed.

In 1984, it was me, Alan, and Karen. Later, I moved into an office as editorial coordinator. When we moved to 1325 Ave of the Americas, I definitely at one end and Alan the other until he left.
