He's building a gold-guilded ballroom to host the foreign officials who come to bribe him, while denying millions of hungry kids food. Just how thuddingly obvious, how over-the-top, how florid & theatrical does this story have to get before the media starts honestly telling it?

Almost every major news story this week is about how the entire economy is now gambling, scams, bribes and theft.

Rick Scott on why he opposes the bill to ban congressional stock trading: So this idea that we're going to attack people because they make money is wrong—it's absolutely wrong...I think it's disgusting, what this is. What is going on here?

what people seem to believe is that there is a large number of criminal, layabout immigrants who can be easily found and deported. they support doing so snd are dismayed by the deportation of otherwise law abiding people. the problem is that the criminal group is imaginary!
Wow. New CBS poll finds majority (55%) supports the *general goal* of deportations, but a bigger majority (56%) dislikes how Trump is carrying them out. And 63% want due process.

Again, we need a better discourse around public opinion on immigration, as I've argued:

The fundamental flaw of broken authoritarian narcissists (the core of the right-wing coalition) is that they view empathy as a finite resource, such that, if you extend it to one group, you can't extend it to another. They see all of life through a lens of scarcity, competition, & selfishness.
Elon Musk: "The fundamental moral flaw of the left is empathy for the criminals and not empathy for the victims."

Next time you hear someone say that Tesla dealerships are being targeted by “woke terrorists”, just tell them it’s “paid actors” that Elon hired to help him scam the insurance money.

I saw a talk by a North Korean refugee years ago who described how he finally started to see through the propaganda, which he’s swallowed unquestioningly all his life. To the point that when his mother was arrested for sedition, he assumed it was just. The government didn’t make mistakes, after all.

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.

Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.

Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

Giants should trade for Justin Fields and go with Daniel Jones in a Taysom Hill-style role for a year. Gimmicky, sure, but gives you a relatively cost controlled look at both of them for longer term contracts. #giants #nfl
