you're cooking rn. when i initially posted this i was thinking a vodka sauce pie with garlic butter on the crust, or a "marry me chicken" type deal with sundried tomatoes, basil, etc

TFW you paid $1400 to see Beckett’s most famous work without knowing anything about it
One Star Review of Waiting for Godot on Broadway
I recently attended Waiting for Godot on Broadway and spent over $1,400 for two Row C seats (103 and 104). I'm a longtime admirer of Broadway productions and even hold a season pass for Shea's Performing Arts Theatre, so I came in with genuine enthusiasm and high expectations. Unfortunately, this show was unlike anything ! have ever experienced —and not in a good way.
What I encountered was not the artistry, music, or emotional storytelling I usually associate with Broadway, but instead what felt like an endless cycle of nonsensical conversation between characters who seemed trapped in their own madness. I tried-truly tried-to find meaning, symbolism, or even a thread of emotional resonance. I stayed through the first half hoping the second would offer clarity. But by intermission, it was clear: this was a waste of both time and money.
Keanu Reeves is an actor I respect greatly, but I cannot fathom why he would agree to participate in such a disjointed, inaccessible production. His talent was lost in a performance that defied reason rather than provoked insight.
To anyone considering attending: unless you are drawn to highly abstract, nearly incomprehensible theater, I strongly caution you against this show. For the average, educated, thoughtful theatergoer, it is far more frustrating than fulfilling. In my opinion, this was the single most disappointing Broadway experience I've ever had - an unfortunate waste of money and, more importantly, of time.

speak for yourself 🫡🩷🤍🧡
A photo of a kids book about the American flag. There is a swatch that is reminiscent of a simplified lesbian flag that says “why our flag isn’t orange and pink” and then a swatch in red white and blue that says “red is for courage, white is for purity and innocence, blue is for loyalty and fairness”

black and white pencil style digital drawing of Nuisance braiding Hero’s hair because Hero’s arm is broken. She is visibly struggling with the task. She is heavily scarred and tattooed and also has a bunch of bandaged open wounds. She's butch as hell, with a mullet, in a ribbed tank top and boxers. Notably, she has a ton of scarring over one eye, but is not currently wearing an eyepatch. She sits in their unmade bed (with pillowcases still monogramed for Hero's dead wife) and Hero sits on the ground in front of her, on a cowskin rug. Hero is wearing a slip and slippers with cartoon bears on the toes. She's holding a book that says "braiding made easy" for Nuisance to read as she works. Hero's looking off to the side, relaxed and pleasant, but clearly a little doubtful. She is covered in freckles and hickeys and has a cast on her right arm. The braids Nuisance has given her are really bad.

they are sharing a strawberry milkshake
a heart-shaped image of a tattooed blue femme leg in a high heel with fluffy white pompom on the toe playing footsie with a big ole chunky butch boot that says "good bye" on the sole. A tiny double venus hangs from the laces and there's a little splatter of blood on the cuff of the butch's jeans. The floor below them is pink and darker pink checkerboard pattern. It's butchfemme.
