Phil Knight is almost single handedly funding the OR GOP, one of the more extreme state GOPs in the country. Keep that in mind next time you’re in the market for sportswear or sneakers. www.oregonlive.com/politics/202...
Nike co-founder Phil Knight makes record-setting donation to help elect Republicans
It is the single largest donation Knight has made to an Oregon candidate or political action committee.

What if every Democrat running for Congress or the Senate in 2026 pledges to introduce or support articles of impeachment against Trump like Clayton?
David Clayton. NC-05
Watch him.
The breed of Democrat that is entering the political arena.

The Rise of Skywalker will forever be on the bottom of the list for this line alone. That and the ride of the shaggy space ponies on the wing of a ship like some dorky Temu version of the Rohirrim attacking Minas Tirith.

This is the only appropriate response. Now @schumer.senate.gov and @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social get every Democratic Senator and Representative on record saying the same. Make them try and charge every Democrat in Congress.
SEN. GALLEGO: "This is fucking insane... Secretary Hegseth, all these guys, fuck you, you're not going to be able to scare us. You say you’re not acting like fascists… you won’t intimidate us.”

on the “investigation” announcement for telling the military their oath is to the constitution
November 24, 2025 at 8:11 PM
This is one of those technical responses that is so obvious as a way to bind the Democratic caucus together, and to expose the holiness and tyranny of Trump. The fact that Hakeem Jeffries won’t lead the charge on this is just an embarrassing indictment of his lack of leadership skills.
Every Democrat in Congress should put out a video saying troops have an obligation to refuse unlawful orders. Make them prosecute all of you. This isn't a close call.

I'd add Republicans too if I thought any of them had the courage to actually cross Trump on this.
Hegseth is now threatening to recall Sen. Mark Kelly to active duty in order to court martial him.

We now know exactly what Musk’s neuralink was created for- so a team of researchers could try and inject into musk’s brain, the saddest, unfunniest brain in the world, the ability to tell jokes and display humor.
Everything about this might be the saddest thing I’ve ever seen

Journalist friend of mine once found himself sitting behind Abrams in a plane in the 1980s and seriously wondered whether throttling him would be worth spending the rest of his life in prison. He concluded that someone just as bad would probably replace him, but it’s not clear who could be worse.

I think Trump respects people with genuine principles and recognizes that Mamdani can’t be totally rolled like the majority of democratic leaders, who are so cowardly and reactionary that Trump knows he can always intimidate them into submission.
Trump on Mamdani: "I think he's gonna surprise some conservative people, actually. And some very liberal people he won't surprise because they already like him."
November 21, 2025 at 9:20 PM
Though he is an awful, horrible, person, Trump recognizes genuine political talent, and can be differential when it’s clear he won’t be able to bully or strong arm people. Mamdani won’t be intimidated by Trump, and I think he knows that and i think doesn’t want to be even more hated in New York.

The correct response here is for Hakeem Jeffries to grow a pair and get every single Democratic representative and Senator to endorse this video and go on the record saying that Trump should be impeached and arrested for calling for the murder of elected representatives. Triple down.
November 21, 2025 at 8:57 PM
Hakeem Jeffries is one of the dumbest most incompetent Democratic house leaders in modern history. Some of the worst political instincts of any Democratic leader in my lifetime and a rank moral coward.
BREAKING: The House of Representatives voted 285–98 in favor of a resolution condemning socialism.

Eighty-six Democrats joined Republicans in supporting the measure, including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

A complete abandonment of the system of human rights reporting set ip in the 1970s as a Congressional response to US support for rights abusing regimes. Its important, however, to understand the implications outside the US. “Under Trump, U.S. human rights reports will flag abortion, gender care.”

There needs to be a children’s march to Broadview and other ICE facilities, Birmingham 1963 style, to show what fascist thugs ICE, CBP and others are. There are plenty of young people who understand the stakes here and are willing to take such action. Make these cowards run.
NEW: Churches in Charlotte are hosting trainings on how to response to ICE agents — with *hundreds* filling pews.

At one training, a child led those gathered in "This Little Light of Mine" — but changed the words to “All around Border Patrol, I’m gonna let it shine" religionnews.com/2025/11/20/a...
As ICE descends on Charlotte, faith leaders draw on other cities' actions to aid immigrants
(RNS) — As many as 500 people, a mix of clergy and other volunteers, have appeared at the training sessions on how to counter ICE.

Just fucking say it. Make them arrest you. He’s going to call for you to be arrested or put on trial for treason or executed anyways. Get out in front of the story.
Scoop: Rep. Eugene Vindman knows what Trump said on a 2019 call with the Saudi Crown Prince about Jamal Khashoggi's killing, and his effort to make it public is about to rachet up.

Tomorrow, Vindman will appear alongside Khossoggi's widow to call on Trump to release the transcript

Every single political reporter in Washington needs to be asking Republicans “do you support the president’s call for executing your Democratic colleagues for saying that soldiers should not follow illegal orders?” www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...
Trump: Democrats ‘traitors’ for telling military not to follow unlawful orders
The president said lawmakers who appeared in a video committed “seditious behavior” and should be arrested and put on trial for treason.

So clearly, every elected Democrat needs to repeat the same call for troops to refuse to carry out illegal orders. Trump can’t exactly call for the execution of half of the US Congress.

Swastikas and other symbols of the Nazis and the Klan are now only “potentially divisive,” according to Pete Hegseth (who clearly it does not find them to be divisive).

Basically every social scientist writing about US domestic and foreign policy after Trump: we need new theories
The Eric Schickler essay in Larry Bartel's symposium on "What Trump Has Taught Us About Political Science" is one of the most insightful pieces I've read in 2025.

US institutions turned out to be weak, and we have to rethink conventional wisdom.

Why is it that the most wealthy, privileged academics in the entire world, who teach the least, have research and travel funds larger than entire departments, and whose lives are easier than 99.999% of academics at state, community colleges, etc. are such unbelievably thin-skinned whiners?
